Everybody? Isaac Gabriel Street.
Joined the party on October 29th and we could not be happier. ;)
Last year we started a great little series called "Holidecor" (my invented word, because that's what I do). We shared holiday decoration inspiration ideas from Thanksgiving through preparation for New Year's and most of the ideas came from my curated collections via Pinterest! ;)
Well this year we'll be sharing our Holidecor posts again with the addition of HALLOWEEN! For some people, the holidays really kick off with Thanksgiving but for me, it all kicks off with Halloween. From October through January, I'm generally in a jolly mood because there's so much to look forward to!
So here we go: our Holidecor post for Halloween; sharing a few good decorative ideas that you can quickly put together in the days that remain as we gear up for All Hallow's Eve! ;)

round up some shoe boxes, spray paint them black and make them creeped out cubbies for an entry way or house party display.

stop by your local thrift or second hand store (or nearby garage sale!), hunt down one of these little weird woodland creatures and spray paint it white. then add some red paint to the eyes and boom! an eery decorative object for the home. ;)

The days of late right here! Can't even believe next week is Halloween already (thus, the end of October)! Something tells me the holidays will FLY by this year.....
As we enjoy (endure?) the countdown til Baby I finally makes his debut......I thought I'd list off a few of the awesome things I came across this go around.
With both of my pregnancies, I've happened across great resources that are worth sharing for other preggos out there (or even if you're not pregnant...these are great Mom tools to know about)!
First off is Kiwi Crate which is awesome to know about even if you aren't expecting. It's a monthly subscription service that ships a craft box to your home complete with all the tools you'll need to create an art project/craft with your toddler! So easy and everything's all there and prepped for you! BONUS: Liam's first box will time very well with the arrival of Baby Isaac. It's a little extra something special that he gets to enjoy as a big boy and that will hopefully make the baby-enters-home-transition a little easier. ;)
Another cool resource are the ladies over at What's Up Moms! From funny parody youtube videos (designed for the mamas of the world to share some knowing laughs together) to easy child-friendly recipes and cool DIYs.....they've got it going on. Definitely worth checking out ~ I think you will find yourself getting hooked as I have. ;)
Lastly is Storq. This is a really cool service that sadly I did NOT find out about until the very end of my pregnancy (as in, the last week) but I think it's such a great idea, I HAVE to pay it forward in the hopes that some newly preggo will be able to take advantage. Lord knows my struggle with finding maternity clothes that were sensible, flattering and not utterly ridiculous while still somehow being unique. That's a tall order, I know, but I was always so surprised and disappointed anytime I had to venture out to bump shop. You can order bundles from Storq at a set price that come complete with all the basics you need for your bump wardrobe. Dresses, leggings, tanks, etc. To quote from their site: "A dress that hangs tough when even the drawstring has forsaken you."
NECESSARY items that your body will thank you for! Storq also offers body product bundles for you to browse as well. Because you're pregnant and damn it, you deserve some pampering! ;)
Hope you enjoyed these few things I loved finding or hearing about this time around! :)
You may notice this is #50 and the last one in the Kickstart series was #46. Yup, the missing links are the 3 Kickstarts we lost from our September Snafu. :-/
Oh well....who cares, this is our HALLOWEEN one today baby!
Getting you all geared up and inspired for All Hallow's Eve next week. And while we're at it, please feel free to wander over to Mrs. Limestone's neck of the woods to see her amazing annual Halloween celebration plans. She never disappoints!

This would have been our 3rd Annual Halloween Party but alas, what with a baby due kind of any day now, we figured perhaps it was best to bow out this year and let some of our friends have a turn. ;)
In any case, Halloween is coming and we are just about ready!!
Love the people that you love with all your heart and say it out loud as often as you can.
Have a good weekend ~
On Sunday we celebrated Alex's birthday and did a family day out at Barton Hill Farm's Fall Festival!
It was a gorgeous morning and there was so much to do there -- train rides, canoes, pony rides, slides, a trampoline, a corn maze, awesome food and of course the pumpkin patch! :)
My faaaavvvvvorrrittte part may have been the pumpkin pie, I can't even pretend. ;)
Hope you had a great birthday Alex!! We love you so much!
Occasionally technology throws a wrench in the works. Occasionally it's our own darn fault. Here lies a case of both.
We had some system issues recently and lost (lost, lost, gone forever) all of our content for the month of September. It's gone for good unfortunately and one day when we look back on these chronicles, someone will say, "Hey...where's September 2014 at?" and I'll shake my fists to the heavens over technology and my own shortcomings with it, as I always do. Oh well.
We can't re-write the story but hopefully we can offer something through pictures that were featured during September and our most recent posts....enjoy below!
remember that time we talked about our just about ALL done backyard project?
or the "bump & boy" shots we were able to capture over Labor Day weekend?
how about the fun comings and goings that included pumpkins, art and yarn DIYs?
we also made homemade granola bars! well....Alex did. with lots of help from THIS source!
and let us never forget the day in September I decided to feel all weepy
remembering my little one at the start of my SAHM journey (sniff*tear!
most recently, there was this. the sweet moment liam placed his hand on my bump as we are looking at 3 weeks left!
and that brings us to this week ~~ liam made decorations to help kick off Alex's birthday weekend celebration! ;)
